This course is designed in a book format to make your on-line class as simple as possible. The first page you enter for the course is the Table of Contents. Here you'll find the Introduction, each Chapter of the book.

To start your course, you can click onto the "Introduction" link, and you are on your way. You will notice that each chapter is broken into topics that deal with a specific subject. Each subject has Web links, Figures, and FAA questions for additional correlated material. Use each link to supplement the information from the written text and gain a better understanding of what you've read.

This book has some basic functions to ease your learning experience. Here's a quick explanation of each button's function:

This brings you one page back in the course "book".

This brings you to the next page in your course.
This will bring you to the beginning of the chapter you are on.

This will send you to the end of the chapter you are currently in.
Question and Quizzes This brings you to a list of FAA questions (for the chapter you are on) and a Chapter quiz. You can go to this as a review of the material for each chapter.

How To Use Our Program:

Every time we go flying, there must be prefight planning, so that the trip is without surprises. The same preparation should be done before every lesson in the form of a pre-flight briefing. There is no logic to getting into the middle of your program without having the opportunity to know what to do and how you are to preform.

So let’s get started with your pre-flight briefing…

Depending on the course you have selected you might need some pilot supplies such as a plotter, flight computer or a hand held calculator which can be purchased at your local airport. They are not required to get started but should be on hand when you get to a section such as Flight Planning or Weight and Balance.

Study on-line using the interactive manual. Here you will review a specific subject, see FAA questions relating to that topic, quiz yourself or link to other educational sites.

After you have completed your program there are final exams you can take. Take the first exam and review as necessary. Take the last exam, grade it and click "Submit for Sign-Off Authorization". If your grade is at least a 70% we will forward you an authorization to take the exam.
