The Wings Advanced Courses were created for two types of pilots: First, for those who possess their Private License or Instrument Rating and wish to improve their skills; Second, for Private or Instrument pilots who’ve been away from flying for a year or so and wish to get “back in the saddle again”. Listed here are our formal programs… a wide variation of others can be tailored for you depending upon your specific needs.
ADVANCED NAVIGATION (INCLUDING GPS):
The Advanced Navigation course is a four hour course, combining ground and flight instruction, that is designed for the pilot who wants to advance his navigation skills and learn new techniques for crosscountry navigation, including the current up-to-date GPS features and benefits.
ADVANCED LANDING TECHNIQUES:
The Advanced Landing course is a four hour course, combining ground and flight instruction, that is intended and designed for the pilot who wants to advance their pilot skills and learn new techniques in how to make good landings covering a variety of weather and airport conditions.
ADVANCED APPROACH TECHNIQUES:
The Advanced Approach course is a four hour course combining ground and flight instruction, that is designed for the pilot who wants to learn advanced techniques for negotiating instrument approaches. This course incorporates techniques that normally take years to learn.
