Whatever your requirements we have a course or program to suit your needs. International license training requires specialized knowledge and experience. American Flyers has an abundance of both. We've been training pilots from all over the world for more than half a century.
Our International Pilot Training (IPT) program specializes in both the FAA and JAA licensing systems. From these widely accepted foundations lies the route to virtually any license -- world-wide.
International Pilot Courses (IPC's) offer overseas students and airlines a whole range of options: from complete beginner to Airline Pilot in one full time course or modular training, where licenses and experience are gained progressively.
International Conversion Courses (ICC) offer overseas students and airlines full conversion courses to all FAA certificates.
In addition to our standard courses we specialize in providing individually tailored packages to suit both self sponsored and airline customers worldwide.
Broadly speaking the world is divided between those countries that accept or recognize the USA FAA (US Federal Aviation Administration) licensing system and those that accept the JAA (Joint Aviation Authority) licenses.
Probably 90% of the Western world and a large part of the remaining world operates to one or the other of these systems. Of those that do not, the majority have aligned their licensing system to the FAA or JAA and will usually provide favorable conversion or acceptance terms.
The member countries of the JAA have been working for a number of years towards common regulations; the Joint Aviation Regulation (JAR's), but the process has been very slow and the implementation has been slow and costly. Because of this many people decide to earn their FAA licenses first and then convert to the JAA licenses.
International licensing laws are continually under review and change. At American Flyers we make it our business to be better informed and up to date than anyone in the world. That way we can steer you safely and efficiently through the maze of regulations to the qualification you need.
